The advisors of Suomen Ekonomit are actively involved in negotiations in various sectors. The round, which began in the autumn, will continue well into spring 2025, as contracts in different sectors expire at different times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why are collective agreements important also for Business school graduates?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The collective agreement includes the following matters &#8211; not the work law:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>General salary increases<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>7,5h working days  (8h in the law)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reimbursement of travel expenses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Holiday bonuses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Paid sick leave, usually for 3 months (9 days in the law)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Paid family leave<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Paid leave to care for a sick child from 1 to 4 days<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>System to involve\u00a0employees in decision making<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>All of the above benefits are based on collective agreements, not the law. Many of them seem obvious \u2013 after all, employees have enjoyed them in Finland for a long time now.
