\u201dOn friday, we started with the theory exam, which clearly had some quite challenging questions, but our teams managed well. What was really interesting to see was that today (Saturday), after the case presentations, the rankings changed completely. It was clear that people had different strengths, some excelled in theory, others in case-solving, and of course there were many students who performed brilliantly in both. We also had the chance to enjoy some truly outstanding presentations, as students gave it their all today. Once again, over these two days, we\u2019ve been able to witness just how talented business students we have here in Finland.\u201d said Lotta Pennala<\/strong>, Chair of the Jury and Special Adviser of education policy at Suomen Ekonomit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Biz Potential is a competition for business students, organized by Suomen Ekonomit and Danske Bank. It challenges student teams to demonstrate their business skills through a mix of theoretical questions and case assignments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The winning team, Probba I, took home a \u20ac3,000 prize and the title of Finnish \u201ckylteri\u201d champion. The team from Warrantti placed second and received \u20ac2,000, while team KY III placed third and was awarded \u20ac1,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe’re feeling very good about winning, of course. I mean anyone would, but it was a hard fought battle. We were thinking of finishing like top five but being the number one in the Super Final that was a really big surprise. Overall, we’re very happy with how things ended.\u201d reflected Artur Ergyun<\/strong>, Nathan Burnett<\/strong> and Roope Salomaa<\/strong> from the winning team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Biz Potential 2026 was open to all student members of Suomen Ekonomit. The online qualifying round, held in February, attracted 38 teams. The best-performing team from each student association advanced to the finals, held at the University of Vaasa. As some of the associations did not enter a team, the next highest-ranking teams in the overall results were invited to fill the remaining spots, allowing KY and Probba to have three teams from their associations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the final weekend, the 14 teams completed a theory test and a demanding case assignment. Based on their combined scores, the top four teams advanced to the Super Final, held during Saturday evening\u2019s dinner. In the Super Final, the teams took the stage and responded to fast-paced multiple-choice questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201dI think that our contestants, all organizers as well as jury have been amazing. I\u2019m so happy that I\u2019ve had this opportunity to organize Biz Potential 2026 here in Vaasa. This has been a wonderful journey\u201d said Rasmus Hakala<\/strong>, Project Coordinator of the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
