We provide legal support if your case goes to court

Do you suspect unfair dismissal? Have you been denied outstanding wage after switching jobs? Our lawyers help seek settlements in work-related disputes. If no agreement is reached, we support legal action. Our legal representation and aid minimize your financial risks.

Legal fees in a dispute or court case can amount to as much as €50,000. As a member, you don’t pay a thing. We cover the opposing party’s costs based on the length of your membership.

Now is a good time to join – to qualify for legal aid, your membership must have been continuous for at least six months before the incident in question.

Initially joined Suomen Ekonomit mainly for the Talouselämä magazine subscription. I never thought I would need a lawyer in my career. But then, during change negotiations at my previous job, I found myself in a situation that strongly resembled an unlawful dismissal.”

Making an impact, for our members

As a member, you get to influence societal change. Together, we build Finland’s economy and sustainably reform work life. The more of us there are, the stronger our impact.

Did you know that unions negotiate important benefits like holiday bonus and paid parental leave?

Do you know what advocacy is?

We engage with policymakers and propose solutions for legislative improvements. You can follow our advocacy work via the Transparency Register: avoimuusrekisteri.fi

A collective agreement
boosts your paycheck

Did you know that Finnish law does not mandate holiday bonuses or paid parental leave? These valuable benefits come from collective agreements that unions negotiate for their members.

What if I’m not covered by a collective agreement?
Not all business graduates are yet covered by a collective agreement, but we are continuously working to expand their reach. If you are not covered, we are here to support you when you negotiate your benefits independently. Negotiate first, then have our lawyers review your contract draft to ensure nothing essential is missing.

What do you get as an entrepreneur?

We offer services for all stages of the entrepreneurship journey, whether you’re considering starting a business or are already an experienced entrepreneur. Services and benefits for entrepreneurs, all in one place.

Joining is a smart investment.
